CUC Ulster University Qatar and Ulster University are proud to announce the successful conclusion of their Annual Agent’s Conference held in the vibrant city of Doha, Qatar. The conference, which attracted over 50 student recruitment agencies from around the globe, served as a pivotal platform for collaboration, networking, and strategic planning within the international education community.

The event, which took place at a prestigious venue in Doha, witnessed the participation of esteemed delegates from various educational agencies, institutions, and stakeholders. Attendees engaged in a series of insightful workshops, interactive sessions, and discussions focused on advancing international education opportunities and fostering partnerships for global student mobility.

Dr. Faris Gorashi, Executive Dean at CUC Ulster University, expressed his enthusiasm for the conference’s success, stating, ‘The Annual Agent’s Conference exemplifies our commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with our global partners. Michael Stellwag, MBA, Head of Marketing & Recruitment at CUC Ulster University, echoed Dr. Gorashi’s sentiments, emphasising the importance of collaboration in advancing the university’s internationalisation efforts. ‘We are thrilled to see such strong engagement from our valued partners. As part of the conference agenda, consultants were given an exclusive tour of the new campus of CUC Ulster University located in Lusail, Qatar opening in September 2024. The state-of-the-art facility boasts a capacity of several thousand students and offers a conducive environment for learning, innovation, and growth.

During the tour, agents were briefed on CUC Ulster’s ambitious plans for expansion, including an 80% increase in the number of degree programmes offered to new students starting this fall. This strategic initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of students and equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to excel in today’s competitive global landscape.

Moreover, agents had the opportunity to explore the many advantages of studying in Qatar, a rapidly emerging hub for education, innovation, and opportunity. From its world-class infrastructure and vibrant culture to its strategic location and robust economy, Qatar offers a unique and enriching experience for students from around the world.

Professor Sven Schottmann, Associate Dean (Development & Partnerships) at Ulster University, expressing his gratitude, remarked, ‘I’d like to thank all our partners who came and visited us in Qatar, over the past couple of days, it was fantastic to showcase the campus, to explore the new campus building  and to celebrate with our agents, the 175th anniversary of our Belfast Campus.’
