Qatar Social Work and Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding recently to support and strengthen their social and community-focused initiatives.
Through the agreement, AZF seeks to promote community activities and enhance cooperation with government institutions. The agreement was signed by Amal Al Mannai, CEO of Qatar Social Work and Mohammad Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, CEO of AZF.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Al Mannai stressed the importance of the new partnership and the benefits for both organisations. She said that partnership is key for sustainable human development.
Meanwhile, Al-Suwaidi praised the partnership and confirmed the organisation’s growing role in providing support to all local public and private organisations to benefit the society.
This new agreement builds on our existing partnership with Qatar Social Work, which extends beyond the agreement we signed today. This collaboration has been ongoing for the past couple of years, and we have organised several joint initiatives and social programmes for Qatar Social Work’s member organisations such as the Orphans Care Centre (Dreama), the Centre for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan), and Shafallah Centre. This partnership will combine our ongoing collaboration together under one umbrella.’
AZF was founded in 2008 and has three-member organisations: Aspire Academy, Aspetar and Aspire Logistics. AZF has made remarkable advances in the field of sports, entertainment and social work. It has become one of the preferred destinations for local and international institutions and key individuals who look to benefit from their unique facilities – Aspire Park, the indoor and outdoor pitches and the Aspire Dome, the largest multi-purpose dome of its kind in the world.
Qatar Social Work was established in 2013 as a non-profit developmental organisation that seeks to bring positive contribution to Qatar’s civil society, enhance the capabilities of its member organisations and promote their role in society.
