The second edition of the Katara European Jazz Festival continues with more fun as three new bands from Hungary, Belgium and Switzerland performed magnificent music at the Katara Esplanade.
The ambassadors of Hungary, Belgium and Swirzerland were there to watch the performances. Hungarian Ambassador, HE Fodor Barnabas stressed the importance of the festival to the diverse offering at Katara, when he delivered a speech before the performance. He said that Katara’s hosting and organising of festivals such as this emphasises how Qatar, generally, values culture and humanity.
Visitors of all nationalities and communities enjoyed an amazing night at the Katara Esplanade watching the live music of András Dés Trio (Hungary), Jef Neve and Nicolas Kummert (Belgium) and the Marc Perrenoud Trio (Switzerland).
On the sideline of the concert, a workshop was conducted by Austrian Jazz music band TončFeinig Trio, training students at Katara Music Academy with new ways and techniques of Jazz music. Jazz bands from Germany and Portugal will also perform during the festival.
