The very first edition of The Big 5 Qatar, organised by dmg Events Doha, was launched this week at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). The event offers international players access to local suppliers in the construction sector of Qatar. Over 240 exhibitors from 21 international and local companies are participating in the event.
One of the participants to the exhibition, Youssef A Wazni, Senior Sales Manager at Thyssenkrupp Elevator Qatar said that the country’s growth strategy and vision fuel a fast growing economy. He said that for companies that can meet or even exceed the local clients’ stringent requirements, Qatar is and will remain an attractive global investment hub, especially for industries related to construction.
To further promote the opportunities that Qatar has to offer to international business visitors, The Big 5 Qatar together with Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) facilitated a Hosted Buyers Programme and an International Media Tour – bringing global business visitors even closer to local prospects.
More than just an exhibition, The Big 5 Qatar also provides industry professionals with invaluable learning opportunities throughout the event in the form of free to attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certified Courses. Visitors can attend over 40 workshops and receive a certificate at the end of each session, at no cost. The workshops cover a wide range of topics under six industry leading themes.
The Big 5 Qatar is open to the public until this Wednesday, 26 September, at the DECC. The event is supported by Ashghal, Manateq, Qatar Development Bank and QTA. To know more, visit thebig5-qatar.com.
