With Qatar slowly returning to normal, many of the country’s big malls have started opening their doors to the public. Please check this Marhaba post for more information.
UPDATE (8 July 2020): Commercial activities in the country will resume and shops will remain open starting this weekend. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued the notification following the decision on 9 July 2020. Malls and stores are yet to announce their weekend timings.
This information is based on materials sent directly to Marhaba and on announcements made by these malls on social media. We will continue to update these information based on government and mall management announcements.
As per the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) directive, shopping centres in Qatar will be allowed to operate but shoppers will be required to present their GREEN Ehteraz status and should wear a medical face mask at ALL times. Only green code holders will be allowed in. Safety measures will still be strictly implemented. Please note that children 12 years old and younger are still not allowed inside malls.
CITY CENTER DOHA
Open from Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 8 pm. Supermarket, pharmacy, telecom, banks and exchanges will remain open on weekends.
DOHA FESTIVAL CITY
Open Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 10 pm. Also open on Fridays, 10 am to 11 pm (closed during Friday prayers) and Saturdays, 10 am to 10 pm. All shops are now open. Restaurants are open for takeaway only while the food court remains closed. Multilevel parking is available. Entry screening still applies and Ehteraz Green Code is required for all visitors. Children under 12 years old are not permitted entry to the mall. Call 4035 4444 for any concern.
DOHA SOUQ
All retail shops are now open daily at Doha Souq! Everyone is welcome to visit your favourite store, 8 am to 8 pm. Restaurants are limited to takeaway and delivery orders only. Gym and salon are still closed for the meantime.
Doha Souq welcomes everyone with their safety measures for a worry-free shopping. Guests are requested to be ready with their Ehteraz green status and face mask prior entering the mall.
Ezdan Mall stores will be back in operation during Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 11 pm. Restaurants and cafes work through takeaway and delivery only.
GULF MALL
Entry only allowed for shoppers 12 to 60 years old.
LAGOONA MALL
MALL OF QATAR
All shops are now open while restaurants and cafes to remain for takeaway services and delivery only. Sunday to Wednesday, 10 am to 10 pm, Thursday and Friday, 10 am to 12 midnight (closed during Friday prayers) Saturday, 10 am to 11 pm
MIRQAB MALL
Mirqab Mall is now open on the weekends. In compliance with the government’s guidance, mall management will still be implementing the recommended safety measures. Before visiting, please visit mirqabmall.com/welcomeback to learn more about these measures to ensure that you have a wonderful visit.
All retail shops are open from 10 am to 10 pm. Restaurants and food courts are not currently offering in-house dining, but all are open for takeaway and home delivery, from 8 am to 12 am. Supermarket and pharmacy are open daily, 8 am to 12 am.
