Hamad International Airport (HIA) launched the ‘Golf Simulator Experience’ at the Oryx Airport Hotel during a ceremony attended by Qatar Golf Association officials, champion players from Qatar National Golf Team and members of the media.
The innovative recreational space comes as part of efforts to provide passengers with exceptional facilities and five-star services to relax, rejuvenate and recharge during their time at HIA.
The state-of-the-art indoor golf experience allows passengers to enjoy a collection of gaming options and playing sessions. The ‘Golf Simulator Experience’ is equipped with a High Definition Golf Package, Golf Bags and Clubs for men, women and kids. The facility also includes a lounge with seating area, creating the best atmosphere for passengers in transit.
Aside from the golf experience, the Oryx Airport Hotel at HIA also features the Vitality Well-Being and Fitness Centre that offers an indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy tub, gym and classic spa treatments, among other services. According to HIA COO Engineer Badr Mohammed Al Meer, they are the first airport in the Middle East to launch a ‘Golf Simulator Experience’ within a passenger terminal complex.
