As part of the activities taking place across Qatar during the Doha Healthcare Week from 8 to 14 November, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) will be holding a series of free informative webinars for the public about important health issues.
Following its establishment in 2018, this is the second Doha Healthcare Week to be jointly organised by the World Innovations Summit for Health (WISH) together with partner healthcare organisations in Qatar.
This year, because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, majority of activities for Doha Healthcare Week will be held virtually to ensure that people are still able to benefit from the sessions while staying safe.
The webinars, jointly run this year by HMC and PHCC, will cover a range of topics including stroke, healthy aging, mental health and well-being, and diabetes, and will each feature a group of health experts who will discuss key issues and provide practical tips and advice.
According to Ali Abdulla Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer at HMC, they are delighted to be offering this series of webinars for the public throughout the Doha Healthcare Week. He said that while this year has been a particularly challenging one for people around the world, it is important to continue to promote health education and raise awareness among Qatar’s population about these important health issues.
The health topics covered throughout the Doha Healthcare Week affect a large number of people in Qatar. Al Khater is calling on the public to register for these sessions. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask specific questions from experts.
