Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during a ceremony held in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
The MOU aims to provide funding support for cancer control projects, including, but not limited to, patient experience, improvement of facilities for cancer patients, improvement of cancer care, and employee participation in the field of cancer control.
The agreement was signed by HMC Chief of Health Facilities Development and Acting Chief of Business Services Hamad Nasser Abdulla Al-Khalifa and QCS Chairman Sheikh Dr Khalid Bin Jabor Al Thani, in the presence of several HMC executives and a delegation from QCS.
According to Al-Khalifa, HMC’s partnership with QCS will pave the way for their staff to develop more innovative, high-quality and person-centred projects that benefit patients and communities.
At HMC, we stay true to our commitment in building an excellent healthcare system for the State of Qatar.
HMC Liaison Officer Nasser Al Naimi, who will facilitate the working relationship with QCS, said he is very pleased to be part of the collaborative partnership between HMC and QCS. He said that their partnership will further strengthen their efforts to deliver services with a person-centred approach to care.
QCS Chairman Sheikh Dr Khalid Bin Jabor Al Thani, meanwhile, was also delighted to seal their partnership with HMC. He said they support the principles and values of HMC and they look forward to implementing activities that serve the mutual goals of both QCS and HMC.
