The Tobacco Control Center of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announced the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with the Qatar Stars League (QSL) for the third consecutive year.
The agreement covers promoting the centre’s activities and organising events during the QSL and Qatar Cup tournaments. QSL stadiums and official channels will also be utilised to broadcast awareness messages and information on how to quit smoking.
Under this agreement, the Tobacco Control Center will continue to raise awareness within the community, especially among athletes, about the dangers of tobacco and its derivatives. It will also enable the centre to highlight its role and the services it provides to help tobacco users in the community quit all forms of tobacco use.
The HMC Tobacco Control Center team also expressed its gratitude to QSL and its staff for their ongoing efforts and continuous support. This support has enabled the centre to highlight its role and the range of services they offer in Qatar.
The HMC Tobacco Control Center has been designated as a World Health Organization Collaborating Center for treating tobacco dependence. Those interested in accessing the centre’s services can call 5080 0959 or 16060.
