True to its commitment of strengthening bilateral ties and celebrating longstanding relations, Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, is hosting an Indian Festival beginning this week. The festival was officially launched at the supermarket’s Al Mansoura branch on Wednesday, in the presence of the Ambassador of India to Qatar, HE P Kumaran.
The entire festivities revolve around Indian heritage and culture, and customers will get an opportunity to experience Indian extravaganza. All Al Meera branches will also have a touch of Indian heritage with special Indian flavours on display.
According to Engineer Salah Al Hammadi, Deputy CEO of Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, they have been taking various measures to showcase global heritage through cultural fests.
Buoyed by the tremendous response we received from our Turkish Festival, this time we have brought the highly patronised Indian cultural heritage. India and Qatar trade ties go a long way and we have communities of Indian families residing in Qatar for a long time.’
He said that the festival will once again connect people to their roots. Such endeavours also help them understand the peculiarities of various regions, their tastes, and help them bring to the fore these unique culinary flavours. Al Meera plans to have similar festivals in the coming months.
The Indian Festival is ongoing at all Al Meera Supermarkets until 4 December. Visit any one of their branches to experience the special offers of the Indian Festival.
