Jaidah Automotive, Chevrolet’s exclusive dealer in Qatar, and the official organiser of the ‘SeeMyDoha’ photography competition announced the winners of the third and final edition of the competition at an award ceremony held at Art 29 in the W Doha in an exhibition showcasing all nominated pictures and will run until 18 October.
Mohamad Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group attended the event, as well as representatives from Jaidah Automotive.
The ‘SeeMyDoha’ photography competition is an offshoot of ‘SeeMyCity’ and has been adopted by Jaidah Automotive as the way forward to its annual photography contest. The competition uses camera-enabled smartphones and the social media platform Instagram, and started in October 2016. The competition has gained popularity since its foundation in Qatar 2013–2014, and quickly became one of the most anticipated events of the year for photography enthusiasts in Doha.
The competition’s aim is to portray Doha in a new and inspirational way, reflecting people’s unique experiences. This year’s finalist and two runner-ups were chosen by a panel of expert judges. The winner, Richard Limbo (@richardlimbo) winner received a two-night trip to Oman for two people in a five-star hotel that was presented to him by Mohamed Jaidah, Group Executive Director of Jaidah Group, and Marianne Hope, Founder of SeeMyCity. The second runner-up Haya Al Thani (@hayasenberg), and the third runner-up, Iman Heaphy (@imanheaphy) were each awarded a cash voucher of 5,000 QAR at the ceremony.

The exhibition held at Art 29 showcased 12 photos from this year’s competition including the winning photos, five photos have been chosen from entrants and displayed as photo of the day, as well as the winners from the previous SeeMyDoha competition in 2015 and 2014 and select Jury photos.
