In this series, we bring you recipes by Julia Toon, culinary motivator and author of the book ‘Good Eating: A Taste of Qatar’. New recipes every week, straight from Jules of the Kitchen.
Delightedly, it has rolled around to ‘Home Baking Week’ and so for those of you with gluten intolerance, I share today my recipe for a delicious Gluten-Free Barmbrack (full recipe here!) A wonderful dried fruit-rich loaf that is soaked overnight in your favourite brew (black tea with no milk of course) and slowly baked to give a sticky, moist texture. This very Moorish cake is dairy-free, however, does contain an egg.
So happy home baking to you all and see you next week for another easy recipe to make at home and share with family, loved ones, and friends.
