The Morning Cleanser
This recipe is especially for those of you who own a fresh juice making machine, and believe in an exceptionally ‘healthy’ start to the day. I have a magnificent machine at home, which for many years has supplied me with fresh, natural fruit and/or vegetable juices. Just perfect for that raw food breakfast hit and guaranteed to give you a ‘zing’ in your step.
By the way, do be careful with the garlic, as it will as you know certainly taint your breath, but if you can manage its addition and get away with not offending anyone, go for it. Garlic is one of nature’s natural immune system boosters and therefore, an excellent natural way for stimulating good health.
Preparation: 5 minutes
Ingredients per person
4 carrots – peeled
1 apple
2-3 sticks celery
Thumb size piece of fresh root ginger – peeled
1 clove of garlic – skin removed (optional)
Method
Wash and prepare all vegetables.
Push all ingredients through an electric juicer.
Drink immediately.
JULES tip: This is a brilliant liver cleanser and should be drunk in the morning on an empty stomach to cleanse the whole system.
