Her Excellency, Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health for the State of Qatar, will open Qatar’s International Medical and Health Exhibition (QMED) at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) this Monday, with participation from more than 40 local and international companies in the medical sector.
The opening ceremony will be attended by several Ambassadors to the State of Qatar, including HE Ajay Sharma, UK Ambassador, HE Eva Bolano, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, and HE Fikret Ozer, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey.
Held under the patronage of the Ministry of Public Health for the State of Qatar, Qatar’s International Medical and Health Exhibition (QMED) will provide a unique platform for knowledge-transfer and discussions around the healthcare industry, latest technical innovations and the latest developments in Qatar’s healthcare sector, for leading local, regional and international healthcare professionals.
The event will host three conferences and workshops organised by Alfardan Medical and Northwestern Medicine (AMNM), Naufar Hospital, and Reviva for Medical Services. Local and international speakers will lead the discussions, with the participation of more than 500 doctors covering all medical specialities.
The exhibition aims at promoting knowledge exchange, identifying latest developments in the health care sector, providing better services, as well as supporting initiatives that lay the foundation for a healthy community, and encourage innovation in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Ali Abdullah Al Khater, Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee, said that the 2019 Qatar’s International Medical and Health Exhibition (QMED) is an important part of our endeavours to develop the healthcare sector in Qatar and he added:
It is also a very important platform for healthcare providers to introduce them to the latest innovations in medical services.’
Al Khater also pointed out that the patronage of Qatar’s Minister of Public Health reflects the Minister’s commitment to maintain the local sector updated on all the recent developments in the field and to facilitate networking with leading healthcare providers.
QMED represents an investment opportunity for the leaders of the healthcare sector in Qatar to share knowledge and cooperate with executives from around 12 participating countries, according to Khalifa Al Mohannadi, Manager of Sogha Exhibitions and Conferences.
The exhibition aims to shed light on the latest medical devices adopted by European countries, as well as medical supplies, and the latest laboratory and radiation equipment. It will contribute to supporting innovation in the healthcare sector in Qatar, as participants will be presenting the latest innovations and findings.’
