As the AFC Asian Cup 2023™ is going into the knockout stage, Msheireb Downtown Doha invites guests to enjoy the perfect blend of sports and culture with open-air Baraha Orchestra in collaboration with the renowned Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
On the tournament’s rest days, Msheireb Downtown Doha will host two concerts at Barahat Msheireb. The first concert, titled Football Classics, is scheduled for 26 January to 27 January. The second is called Golden Gulf Classics, and will take place on 4 February to 5 February. Visitors will enjoy a 90-minute musical journey blending football and Gulf folk traditions.
Nasser Sahim, Deputy Executive Director at Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra said: ‘The AFC Asian Cup 2023™ brings people together through the universal language of football, and we are excited to layer in international sounds for an elevated cultural experience. We’re thrilled to perform at Barahat Msheireb in Msheireb Downtown Doha to celebrate the diversity and unity of the games’.
Visitors will have a chance to take in the beautifully sculpted setting of Barahat Msheireb during the concert intervals, with catering provided by the 5-star Alwadi Hotel – M gallery serving dishes inspired by the orchestra themes.
