More than 1,000 visitors joined the festivity of the annual Winter Carnival hosted by the International School of London (ISL) Qatar recently at their school campus. It was an enjoyable afternoon filled with musical performances, arts and crafts, activities for children and adults, and a line-up of delicious savouries.
The crowd enjoyed performances by the school’s talented choir and the Magic Show, captivating the students’ attention.
The vendor market included more than 50 vendors selling arts, crafts and accessories, and which contributed to making this year’s Winter Carnival the most successful thus far. The ISL Qatar Student Council also organised several activities for visitors, including a FIFA tournament, henna painting, cookie decorating and games.
Visitors enjoyed delicious food from restaurants around Qatar that filled the school’s atrium such as Dairy Queen, Bombocrep, Nature’s Treasures, Mama Rozie, Mezza, Bait Jeddi, Deema Community Centre and Saima Foods.
The Winter Carnival also had many exciting activities from the Museum of Illusions, Adventure Rooms, Geek Express, Maison De Sushi and Ceramique Café.
As part of the school’s focus on charitable activities, proceeds of the Winter Carnival were donated to charitable institutions chosen by ISL Qatar. Perfection Multiservice lent their support to the carnival as sponsor of the event.
According to Head of School David Monk, the Winter Carnival is a wonderful event that brings the community together to enjoy a great afternoon for a good cause. He said that their focus on charitable activities is part of the core values of the school.
