Cultural Village Foundation – Katara General Manager HE Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti inaugurated the 3rd edition of the Qatar International Art Festival, organised by Katara in cooperation with Maps International. The event, participated by over 300 artists from 65 countries, is ongoing until Thursday, 28 October.
Katara supports all cultural and artistic initiatives that are consistent with its cultural mission based on building relations between cultures and nations, according to Dr Al-Sulaiti.
The festival also represents a forum for artists from Qatar and from various participating countries to exchange experiences through their participation in the festival. The event will have several opportunities for dialogue, communication and exchange of ideas.
Diverse activities
The festival will have artistic activities including fine art exhibitions, painting and sculpture exhibitions, live painting symposium, fashion show, master class, cultural talks, discussion session, Qatari cultural tour, and a cultural dinner night.
Participating Qatari artists are Moudhi Al-Hajri, Haifa Al-Khuzaie, Duha Al-Kuwari, Sarah Al-Sayed, Sheikha Al-Thani, Lina Al-Aali, Sarah Al-Dosari, Ghada Al-Mahamid.
The festival is free and open to the public. Please note that safety precautions are in place and everyone is advised to follow the health guidelines.
