Police College will participate in the events of Dar Al Saai as part of the celebration of Qatar National Day 2018, highlighting a number of new activities, in cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy. This was announced during the press conference at the Officers’ Club of the General Directorate of Civil Defence.
Major Fahad Saeed Al Subaie, Director of Training Department, said that one of the highlights of the event is the college’s attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records by creating a football model that symbolises the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It will be participated by residents. At least 33,500 coloured wooden pieces would be installed to complete the art painting in shape of a football. The world number registered in the Guinness Book of such work was 4,000 people. The college will attempt to break this figure.
Major Al Subaie said the college activities this year follow the slogan ‘Qatar Brings Us Together 2022’ and that there are more surprises from the Police College in Dar Al Saai.
Captain Rashid Ali Al Tamimi, Head of Sports Training Section, said that students will have the opportunity to partake in various police and military training and self-defence activities aimed at developing self-confidence and physical fitness. Participating students will undergo basic training under specialised trainers. They will also pass through a number of barriers to enhance their physical fitness and flexibility.
