Qatar Airways is relocating its global headquarters to Msheireb Downtown Doha in 2025. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony held on Tuesday, 26 November.
The signing ceremony was attended by Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer and Engr Saad Al Muhannadi, Vice Chairperson of Msheireb Properties.
The new offices will feature state-of-the-art facilities across four interconnected towers, just 9 km from Hamad International Airport (DOH). The location offers easy access to employees, being only a few metres away from Msheireb Metro Station, where all Doha Metro lines converge.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the headquarters will feature energy-efficient systems and smart infrastructure, earning SmartScore certification for cutting-edge technology. The building will also promote workplace wellness and operational efficiency through advanced algorithms.
Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr Badr Mohammed Al-Meer emphasised the move would support the airline’s future growth and employee well-being, stating, ‘By enhancing and elevating our work environment, we aim to create a more enjoyable, modern and collaborative working environment for our people but also advance the airline’s role as an employer of choice in the region.’
This marks the first large-scale office relocation for Qatar Airways, which will consolidate its operations into the new headquarters, owned by Msheireb Properties, a subsidiary of Qatar Foundation.
Msheireb Downtown Doha, known for blending heritage with modern design, is the world’s first fully smart and sustainable city district, with Platinum LEED certification. Engr Saad Al Muhannadi of Msheireb Properties expressed pride in welcoming Qatar Airways, stating, ‘Their presence further establishes Msheireb Downtown Doha as a premier destination for global business excellence.’
Qatar Airways’ new headquarters, located on Al Nakheel Street, is the tallest building in Msheireb, offering stunning views of Doha’s skyline. The four towers cover 51,602 square feet, with Tower A rising 20 stories, and Towers B, C, and D varying in height.
