Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) announced the secondment of two distinguished Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) judges, as part of the two institutions’ ongoing cooperation.
The secondment of Mubarak Saad Al Hajri, President of the Court of First Instance and Al Reem Nasser Al Nuaimi, Judge in the Court of First Instance, aims to bolster exchange of judicial knowledge between the two organisations. Both judges will participate in the QICDRC proceedings of litigation and case hearings.
Qatar International Court CEO Faisal Al Sahouti welcomed the judges, emphasising their efforts to attract Qatari judicial staff.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the SJC for their commitment in delivering the highest level of home-grown judicial expertise to the court.’
As a specialised civil and commercial court, QICDRC delivers English-language proceedings for Qatar Financial Centre entities. To date, the court’s staff consists of 16 judges from 10 different countries – a level of diversity that offers seconded judges the opportunity to learn about other judicial specialisations and develop their legal expertise.
Targeted development of judicial talents is part of the court’s mission to enhance the country’s legal skillset in line with the objectives outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
