Qatar Museums recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Oman Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the National Museum of the Sultanate of Oman, a five year automatically renewable MOU that outlined collaboration in the field of cultural and museum work.
Under the MOU, the three institutions will organise collaborative activities and exhibitions, and periodically exchange collections and exhibits. The three institutions will also provide training, qualifications, and loan programmes for their employees as part of their cooperation in the field of museum management and collections management.
The agreement was signed by Ahmad Musa Al Namla, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Museums, and HE Najib bin Yahya al Balushi, Oman’s Ambassador to Qatar.
