Qatar’s healthcare system is gaining global recognition once again, recently rising two spots to 17th place out of 94 countries in the latest Numbeo Health Care Index. This makes Qatar the only country in the region to feature in the top 20.
The improved ranking highlights Qatar’s world-class services, modern infrastructure, and substantial investments in healthcare. Qatar scored 73.4 points in the Health Care Index by Country 2024 Mid-Year, with Taiwan topping the list.
Other top 20 countries include South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Denmark, France, the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway, and Spain.
The Numbeo ranking follows Qatar’s recent inclusion in the list of most liveable cities in the MENA region, where healthcare is a key contributing factor.
