Qatar Tourism announced the details of the 18th Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, taking place from 12 to 17 December at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
The latest edition of the fashion exhibition is organised by Qatar Tourism and Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC) and features over 130 brands from 10 participating countries, including Qatar, the GCC, India, Lebanon, Indonesia, Morocco and Turkey.
Several events will also take place on the sidelines of the exhibition, including eight fashion shows, four workshops, nine dialogue sessions and four private classes which will focus on issues related to the world of fashion in general, and sustainable fashion. The sessions will be led and attended by some of the most influential fashion experts in Qatar, the region and the world.
Ignite
The 18th Heya exhibition is themed Ignite and is aimed at empowering female entrepreneurs and enhancing their reach by providing a platform to showcase their talents and offer networking opportunities to gain insights from sector experts.
Heya has built its reputation as the leading platform for Arabian fashion in the region, bringing together fashion lovers, designers and entrepreneurs under one roof, this time for six days, showcasing a distinct collection of abayas, kaftans, dresses, accessories, cosmetics and perfumes.
The exhibition will follow the guidelines set by the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the safety of guests and participants. Everyone is required to register online to be able to join and see the fashion showcase.
Women only event
The exhibition is open to women only, except for the opening day, which will be reserved for families. Children below 13 years old will not be allowed to enter the exhibition. The exhibition will open its doors every day from 10 am to 10 pm, and on Fridays from 3 pm to 10 pm.
Heya exhibition has achieved notable success in recent years, strengthening Qatar’s position as a destination for fashion and design in the Middle East and the world. The event serves as a launching pad for up-and-coming brands while also highlighting Qatari talent.
