Local talents and their unique designs are celebrated at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) this year under the Qatari Designers initiative. The event is held this week at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), from 9 to 14 May.
Five years ago, DJWE launched the Qatari Designers Initiative, a platform through which Qatari designers can stand side by side among some of the most prestigious and established local and international brands. With one pavilion housing promising Qatari talents as well as leading brands, designers have the opportunity to inspire, and be inspired by, by what’s on offer.
According to Qatar Tourism Chairman and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive HE Akbar Al Baker, the Qatari Designers initiative supports up-and-coming designers in their growth journeys.
We are proud to see a proven track record with former talents who were part of the initiative and are now owners of successful and established brands. We look forward to celebrating further designers and providing the opportunity for creative development across the country.
