The second floating hotel MSC Poesia, docked in Doha Port this Monday, 14 November, to join MSC World Europa, which arrived in Doha last week. The two cruise hotels will offer a luxurious hospitality experience to fans of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
The cruise ship MSC Poesia is a modern four-star floating hotel ready to offer luxurious services to FIFA World Cup™ fans. They have a variety of room options ranging from traditional cabins overlooking the sea, to rooms with balconies and luxury suites, in addition to multiple dining outlets and programmes and entertainment suited for all ages.
MSC Poesia houses 1,265 cabins, three swimming pools, a spa and wellness centre, a cinema, tennis and basketball courts, four dining outlets, 15 coffee shops and a number of event venues.
Floating hotels
Floating hotels are one of several accommodation facilities provided by the State of Qatar for World Cup fans.
According to the estimates of the MSC Cruises Group, owner of the three floating hotels serving the tournament, the capacity of the three cruise ships is 10,000 beds. Reservations for the first week of the tournament have now reached 100%.
The cooperation between Qatar and MSC Cruises dates back to 2016 when Doha welcomed the group’s first giant cruise ship, MSC Fantasia.
