The Organising Committee of Senyar 2017 Championship announced that Dashat Al Hadaq will be launched from Katara Beach to the Ashaat Reserve (10 kilometres from the coastline), which will be the site of the sixth edition of the Senyar 2017 tournament, with 76 teams participating, led by Sardal Mohammed Jowhar Al Sulaiti of the Al Wakra team.
The championship will conclude on 28 April, as traditional dhows return to Katara Beach. This event will be celebrated through Al-Qafal or the homecoming of Senyar participants welcomed by their relatives with song and merriment.
The Organising Committee of the Senyar 2017 Competition also revealed the installation of three offshore bases near Ashaat Island as headquarters of Al-Hadaq, as the first Base was for the lodging of members of the Organising Committee, referees, photographers and journalists reporting events of the competition.
The second offshore base was for the daily reception of the participating traditional dhows at the end of the competition to weigh the fishes. The third offshore base houses the live broadcasting devices and screens.
