Back at The Highmore for another amazing night—it’s quickly becoming my go-to spot to unwind and enjoy great vibes.
The Highmore, perched on the rooftop on the 11th floor of Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail, has this unique charm that pulls you in every time. It’s one of those places where you can genuinely detach from the hustle and sink into the moment.
This time, we went on a Thursday for their Late Night Jazz, and it was exactly what we needed after a long week. A jazz band played from 9:30 pm onwards, no entrance fee required, and everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives.
One of the things I love about The Highmore is how versatile it is. Sure, the bar and main dining area is great, but the variety of spaces really sets it apart:
- Game Room: Perfect for pizza and a fun round of games.
- Cigar Lounge: A cosy, sophisticated spot if that’s your scene.
- Library: Ideal if you’re looking for a quieter corner to sip and relax.
- Terrace: Easily my favourite—it’s all about those unobstructed city views. Whether you’re lounging with a drink or grabbing a bite, it’s just the perfect spot.
When it comes to food, they keep it interesting and satisfying. Starting with their cheese platter is always a solid choice with a fine glass of wine before diving into the rest of the menu. Personal favourites?
- Salads: The steak Cobb salad is a winner every time.
- Warm Ups: Can’t go wrong with the fish & crisps, nachos & cheese, or apricot chicken wings.
- Big Bites: The harissa honey chicken sandwich and short rib burger are top-notch.
- Pizza: You really can’t miss here, but the garlic bread is a must-try, being their newest addition.
- Desserts: The vanilla bean cheesecake? Chef’s kiss.
The bar bites menu has some new additions too, paired perfectly with their expertly crafted drinks. Whether it’s a cocktail or a mocktail, happy hour prices starting at QAR30 to QAR45 make it even better.
The Highmore is open daily from 5 pm to 3 am, and trust me, it’s worth a visit (or several). To book, call 44565777 or email [email protected].
