The International School of London (ISL) Qatar celebrates 10 years of excellence this year and to mark this occasion held a Gala Dinner last Thursday, 25 April. The event was attended by ambassadors, officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, teachers, staff, parents, students and other special guests including HE Ivonne Abdel Baki, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to the State of Qatar.
ISL Qatar was founded in 2008 as part of the ‘Outstanding Schools Initiative’ started by HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser. Building on the academic strength and over 40 years’ experience of the ISL Group in London, ISL Qatar has set new standards of academic excellence and is a leading IB World School in Doha.
The evening gala highlighted achievements and students’ work. Highlights included musical performances, visual art pieces, documentaries and alumni interviews during the incredible evening.
Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education attended the event and expressed his pride in ISL Qatar, and its accomplishments in the past 10 years.
