The Pearl-Qatar continues to cement its position as a leading tourism and leisure destination through the increasing number of stores, restaurants and retail outlets that are setting up on the Island.
United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar’s leading public shareholding companies and the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Islands, has announced the increase in the number of retail stores that opened this January and February. The new business openings have translated into a steady increase in occupancy rates and leased retail space across the Island. The new rental agreements bring the total number of shops, restaurants and retail outlets across The Pearl-Qatar to 368 outlets.
These new shops include: Yousef Al Jasmi for Ladies Fashion, Liwani for Men’s Fashion, Al Aker Cuisine, Craft Burger Restaurant, Godiva Café, Origin Coffee, Blakk Coffee and Nova Venezia Café. These new outlets feature a mix of brands that cater the tastes of both residents and visitors.
Unlike most traditional shopping experiences where visitors are restricted to indoor malls, The Pearl-Qatar offers guests an attractive outdoor experience with shops, restaurants and cafes overlooking the marina. The spectacular waterfront strip, home to The Pearl-Qatar’s main harbour, Porto Arabia, boasts a 3.5-kilometre concourse which offers a variety of retail services. Restaurants, cafes, fitness centres and other amenities are available in this area, making Porto Arabia the place to be at The Pearl-Qatar.
Aside from Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar also have Medina Centrale, providing exclusive residential, shopping and leisure experiences and a real community atmosphere; and the Venetian themed Qanat Quartier, made more interesting with its colourful architecture and animated surroundings, with shops located across the magnificent views of its own canals and piazzas.
