Also premiering this weekend on Netflix is the post-apocalyptic zombie movie ‘Army of the Dead’ from filmmaker Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Zack Snyder’s Justice League). ‘Army of the Dead’ focuses on a group of ex-commandos who are enlisted by a casino tycoon to recover USD200 million in cash before the zombie-overrun, walled-off Vegas is nuked to dust by the US government. Tasked with putting together the ragtag team of experts is Scott (Dave Bautista). With a ticking clock, a notoriously impenetrable vault, and a smarter, faster horde of Alpha zombies closing in, only one thing’s for certain in the greatest heist ever attempted: survivors take all.
SETTLE IN WITH A CUP OF TEA AND READ THIS:
‘Great Circle’ tells the story of Marian Graves, a daredevil female aviator determined to chart her own course in life, at any cost. Graves was rescued as an infant from a sinking ocean liner along with her twin brother, Jamie, though her mother goes down with the ship and her father—the ship’s captain—is sent to prison for his role in the tragedy. Marian and Jamie are left to essentially fend for themselves. As time goes on, Marian dreams of becoming an aviator who will circumnavigate the globe over the North and South Poles. Fly with her as she stares down every obstacle in her path, and challenges any societal tradition that would keep her from seeing the world from her plane’s cockpit. Get a copy here.
CRANK UP THE VOLUME FOR THIS:
After her smash hits ‘Driver’s License’ and ‘Deja Vu’, Olivia Rodrigo is giving her fans a taste of ‘Sour’, her upcoming debut album set to release this weekend. During an interview with The Face, this 18-year-old Filipino-American actress-singer shared, ‘I suppose I’m considered a pop artist, but I’ve never felt like one. This album is full of stuff that I like, which is so diverse. There are elements of alternative rock in there, alt-pop, some country, and definitely a lot of folk. I think anyone can find something they like hidden in one of the songs.’
