Tickets for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ are now on sale.
Prices for group-stage match tickets start at QAR25 and can be purchased online through the official ticketing website. Spectators from outside Qatar can also purchase tickets from the same website. Hayya will not be a mandatory prerequisite to enter stadiums.
Spectators can book seats for any of the 51 matches that will take place in Qatar between 12 January and 10 February. This includes the opening and final matches at Lusail Stadium – an 88,966-seat venue that hosted the final match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
The announcement was made by the tournament’s Local Organizing Committee during a press conference where officials discussed plans to host Asia’s marquee national football competition for the third time, after successfully hosting it in 1988 and 2011.
According to Hassan Al Kuwari, Marketing and Communications Executive Director of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Local Organizing Committee, they anticipate tremendous interest in the tournament, which will see the best players from across Asia compete for glory.
Nine stadiums
Nine stadiums will host 51 matches between 24 teams, drawn into six groups. Seven of the venues previously hosted matches during Qatar 2022 – Lusail, Al Bayt, Khalifa International, Al Janoub, Ahmad bin Ali, Al Thumama and Education City stadiums. Two other stadiums – Jassim bin Hamad and Abdulla bin Khalifa stadiums – have been added to the roster of state-of-the-art facilities that will host the tournament.
Spectators will be able to follow their favourite team through the group stage and into the knockout round. All matches will have accessible seats available to ensure that physically challenged fans can enjoy a barrier-free experience. This includes wheelchair-accessible seating as well as seats for people with limited mobility.
Several cultural and entertainment activities have also been planned for the tournament.
