Get up before sunrise on 20 July to view the Moon and the dazzling planet Venus in the Qatar morning sky. Residents of Qatar can witness Moon and Venus, the second and third brightest celestial luminaries after sun, over dawn sky on 20 July 2017.
Qatar Calendar House (QCH) announced that Venus will be close to Moon and will be at three degrees northern Moon’s centre.
Dr. Beshir Marzouk Astronomer expert at QCH said that Qatar residents don’t require astronomical telescopes to see and observe Venus close to Moon over Qatar dawn sky. They only need to look at eastern horizon side of Qatar sky by naked eye to can see Venus and Moon together for 2 hours and 54 minutes before sunrise time; where Venus rise time over Doha sky will be at 2:01 am, while sunrise time will be at 4:55 am Doha local time.
Also, Qatar residents can witness Aldebaran star very close to the Moon, where it will be at 0.4 degree south of the Moon.
