Following his graduation from the fellowship programme, Dr Kinaan joined the University of Central Florida/HCA Healthcare GME as an assistant professor of medicine and a core faculty member at the endocrine fellowship and internal medicine residency programmes.
He was later promoted to assistant programme director of scholarly activity with the internal medicine residency and associate programme director of the endocrinology fellowship prior to his most recent appointment as programme director of the endocrinology fellowship. As a faculty member, Dr Kinaan received the Osler Award and GME Teaching and Mentorship Award.
World-class medical education at WCM-Q
According to Dr Kinaan, WCM-Q provided him with all the tools and experiences necessary to achieve his career goals, and for that, he said he is eternally grateful.
With my current new appointment, I feel that I have reached a full circle moment in my career, where I not only help patients suffering from complex endocrine and metabolic disorders but simultaneously train the next generation of endocrinologists.
Vice Dean for Academic and Curricular Affairs, Dr Thurayya Arayssi, said that at WCM-Q, they offer a world-class medical education that equips their graduates with the best knowledge, support, skills, and tools necessary to become great doctors, scientists and academics. However, she said that it is still up to their highly talented alumni to take the leap and translate their qualifications into a successful and personally fulfilling career in medicine.
We are extremely proud of what Dr Kinaan has achieved over such a short period of time.
