The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, announced the dates for the next edition of its flagship biennial summit, which will take place later this year, from 19 to 21 November. The summit will be held here in Doha.
The biennial WISE Summit brings together over 2,000 thought leaders, decision makers, and practitioners from a variety of sectors around the world – including representatives from business, politics, civil society, and media – to contribute to shaping the future of global education. Past keynote speakers at the WISE Summit include then-US First Lady Michelle Obama, former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, and HE António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.
WISE was established in 2009 as an international, multi-sectoral platform for creative thinking, debate and purposeful action. WISE programmes, research and advocacy work offer the global education community a unique opportunity to meet, share and grow innovative practices that address pressing challenges in the sphere of education.
